As we shared in our April newsletter, we have a lot of discipleship and serving opportunities coming up this summer! The highlights of our summer include camp at Doe River Gorge and a missions trip to Philadelphia.

To fund this summer, we need to raise $15,000! Currently, $9,885 has been given towards this need; this is sixty-five percent of our goal! We are so encouraged and thankful to see how the Lord is meeting this need through your faithful and sacrificial giving.

Please continue to pray and consider giving to help meet the remaining need. We are excited to see how the Lord will continue to provide as we step out in faith.

We want to give all of our supporters, friends, and partners an opportunity to buy an LXI shirt! This is a pre-order for shirts that will be printed the first week of June. Our suggested donation is $18 per shirt. Questions? Email Kyle Hicks at . Follow the link below to order your shirt(s)!

We are so pumped to have three interns serving with LXI this summer! These young adults have huge hearts for the Lord and the youth of this city, and their unique strengths will help fill needs in our ministry. Please be in prayer for these three students throughout the summer.

Name: Tasa Mushayamunda
Age: 22 years old
Home: Zimbabwe
Family and Friends Say: He is sober-minded, humble, friendly, unselfish, and humorous.
Fun Facts: When he was young, he nearly got trampled by an elephant while in a car. The backseat car doors were child locked, so he and his siblings had to get out through the front door!

"I am excited about developing deeper roots in the Johnson City  community through LXI . I am also excited for the opportunity to grow as a leader as I shadow and learn from Kyle, Gretchen, and the intern crew. My desire is to see radical transformation in the youth we will be pouring into and personally drawing closer to Jesus as we stand in gap on behalf of Johnson City youth."

Name: Abigail Williamson
Age: 20 years old
Home: Harrogate, Tennessee
Family and Friends Say: She is thoughtful, fun-loving, compassionate, hard-working, and has integrity
Fun Facts: She is left-handed and always wished she was born in the 40s

"I am most excited to further the kingdom of God by investing in his people; I cannot wait to delve deeper into relationships with kids while serving the community!"

Name: Emmah Ndune
Age: 19 years old
Home: Mombasa, Kenya
Family and Friends Say: She is sweet, considerate, loving, joyful, and short.
Fun Facts: Her uncles and aunts love her name so much, they named their kids Emmah (a really unpopular name in Kenya!). So, Emmah has five cousins named Emmah!

"I am so excited for an opportunity to grow in my dependency on God but most importantly, to hangout and love on the youth in a deeper way!"
