Through an awesome vision from our leader, and a partner concept, the LXI Car Program was born.
The program allows students who are a part of LXI the chance to receive up to $2500 matched for the purchase of a vehicle. These 3 young ladies committed to and successfully completed the course with the Appalachian Opportunity Fund, which teaches the importance of financial literacy, through coaching.
They also spent time at American Home and Auto Repair to learn basic mechanical lessons. The students also had the responsibility of saving a specific amount of money from their paychecks, which they accomplished. When it comes time to find a vehicle Johnson City Honda stepped up big time and gave us a great vehicle at a great price.
